When we were trying invitro, I had to give so many specimens that I started getting aroused when a saw a specimen cup.

I'll never understand why this embarrasses men. And the best part is your wife can help get you to the point of giving a sample. Yummy. Everybody knows what you are dong behind that closed door...so they aren't going to walk in and they don't care. You are there to get some help with having a baby. There is nothing wrong with that. And the people next door are doing the same thing you are doing. Good Luck.

Well, the first thing to do is sit down with your wife and tell her how you feel. Sometimes when you talk things out it helps with the tension. Since this is a very important decision for you both and you decide to go through with it, just don't think about it as embarrassing, think about it as wanting a child and bringing joy to your home. Go to the place proudly knowing that there's nothing wrong with it and just remember that there are probably thousands of people that go through the same thing. Oh yeah, bringing a naughty mag wouldn't hurt either with the "process". Good luck and God bless.

It depends on how badly you want a child. I'm reasonably certain that every precaution is taken to insure your privacy and confidentiality. Talk to the doctor and tell him your concerns. You will be doing this in absolute privacy, so there is no reason to feel shame or embarrassment. Lots of childless couples have gone through this, so you're not alone. And if everything works out okay, you'll have the reward of being parents. Good luck!

simply call your doc ahead of time for a sample cup. take it home and the day of your appointment put your sample in the cup as close to the time you need to be at your appt.
word of advice: i have only been pregnant twice and both times I conceived i was on 500 mgs anti inflammatories.
might oughta have your wife try that, or just think you "really can't afford a kid" and you can mark my words, you wont have a problem conceiving!

Ask the doctor if you take care of the sample while at home and then bring it in. They have little cups you can use with a lid on it, then just put it in a paper bag and deliver it that way.

Just look at it this way..everyone there is in the same situation you are. They want a child and are having some trouble. Once you can conceive a child you wont have to see these people ever again. Good luck!

Every guy in there feels the same way & are there for the same reason. Don't look anyone in the eye...just get in there and 'enjoy' the magazines & leave.
