Religion is a complex fiction contrived so as to assure a "believer" that death isnt real.

I have to disagree. Religion is a belief structure to explain things that cannot be explained any other way. It differs from things like philosophy by giving reasons based on moral grounds supported by a higher power or powers. The practical application of it in people has a tendency to bastardize the underlying principles of the beliefs. For example, fundamentalists take a skeleton application of the beliefs and twist them to their own personal goals or ends. In that case it is arrogance masked as humility or humanity, but it is not the religion that is at fault...it is the people behind it. Ultimately, any idea or belief cannot be anything other than itself until it is put into practice and interpreted from there. Thus, religion is neither good nor bad until some person makes the application of it so.

No. It's a group membership thing that has specific 'god beliefs'. By being a cohesive force on one hand, religion is also divisive since it greats in/out and us/them dichotomies that would not otherwise exist.

It's another tribalism thing. You can have the same problems with other expressions of tribalism: gangs, city states, political parties or systems, nations and so on.

No, I do not agree. Maybe some people act that way, as if superior, but true religion should be about love, peace and humility.

Disbelief is a nightmare disguised by a black suit. What do you think about this statement?

I don't agree. You've probably met some weird people. Remember, don't judge religion on people. They'll always mess up and let you down.
