Sometimes I see them and cringe and turn off my computer. I believe that is the same as taking the Lords name in vain. Do you just scan over those questions, or is it at a point where you don't believe you should come back to R&S?

I hope everyone realizes that I am not trying to judge anyone, or justify my "religion" to anyone. It grieves my spirit to see so much hate and venom spewed out at my savior. I know He is aware of it, and said, they hated me and will hate you because of me. I would hurt if anyone said things about my family like they do on here, but my saviour? I guess that is what he meant by forgive them father, they know not what they do.

Sometimes they are painful. It hurts to see God and Jesus so verbally abused. I used to be like some of these people and it's encouraging to know that I have come out of all that confusion and emotional turmoil. It gives me comfort that I have learned enough from the Bible to feel secure in my faith.

If we can't handle questions, any questions, we shouldn't be here. Did God give us brains so we'd not have to worry about questioning anything. Someone famous once said "The unexamined life is not worth living." If you have faith, and can back up that faith with reasonable responses to questions, then you are the stronger for it. If questions make you afraid, then you are not facing the reality of life. What questions do you find offensive, in particular? If you can't handle the truth, then just stop thinking and believing. Your belief must be stronger than being too sensitive to questions or opinions that are different from yours. Did Jesus shy away from "painful" questions? If you are offended and/or feel pain, then you are better off retreating into your own personal bubble of self contentment. But is this what life is all about? Avoiding the hard questions? Avoiding the painful questions? Avoiding the offensive questions? Avoiding the possibility that you might just learn something from somebody the hard way? Avoiding really searching youself or your faith for the answers?

It is taking the Lord's name in vain. And it does make me cringe, but I generally don't respond to the questions that are mocking God or Christians. I respond to the genuine questions, whether from believers or unbelievers.

I haven't felt that I should stay away from R&S, although I have noticed I need to study my Bible more because some of these questions are really deep.

Just remember the Bible prophesies there will be haters of God. Moreso now than ever before, and this will continue to grow until the end of the age.

The best advice I can give is to literally ignore the hateful, mocking questions, and answer the legitimate questions you know the answers to. Try not to let it get you down -- that's the way of the world. There's no sense making your comfortable home in your little Christian circle when there's a dark world out there that needs light.

RIght on ! It is very painful to read some of these questions. To mock the word of God. The un-believers are so sad and really fall short. Wonder what has happened to them upon the road of no return? Down this road to Hell is a poem that I wish all people could read. To choose their roads. I have thought about not going into the R&S site, but hopefully I can answer some and they will realize what they are doing. To Mock the word of God is awful. Hopefully , our answers will be something that these people who mock God , can help them to understand that this is wrong. We need to spread the word. Many people want to understand the word of God and haven't had much availability to do so. With hopes our answers will help the needy see the true light at the end of the tunnel.

Yes, it is painful. But we can't just walk away because there are others on here who do have legitimate questions. Are we to leave these folks to the mercy of those who would pour scorn on us? Most of the time I just scan over those questions, I figure why empower them by answering their questions. I have thought about not coming back on before but again, not everybody on here is like that. As a Christian I need to insulate myself from these people not isolate. If I isolate myself then I can show them nothing, if I insulate myself by staying in His Word then through me God can possible reach them too.

On another note, the questions some of the kids on here ask is quite disturbing.

Sometimes I do the same thing. But you have to remember to those people god isn't real, so they ask in vain. We get to pick and choose what to answer and the fact that anybody can ask and anybody can answer is a blessing in itself. Who knows, someday it might be illegal to talk about God or to deny his existence. It could go either way, but right now we have freedom of speech and this website is for everybody - even 10 year olds with no parental supervision who only come on here to insite others to anger or disgust.

As long as there is religion and democracy you'll never get all people in agreement.I'm an atheist and I especially don't like people quoting me passages from something I don't believe in.I actually find THAT offensive. My personal experience of religion has made me atheist, but I would never, say for example, try and influence my daughter one way or the other. It will be HER choice at the end of the day.I personally don't like all this talk of hell and damnation as I find it absurd.Isn't the Christian faith supposed to be about love and understanding? The Bible (for me) is one giant contradiction

Offensive questions may help open some eyes to the truth but abusive and insulting questions from some people who think they are right and the most intelligent are what pains me. Not for me but for them because the more they try to put someone down, the more they go down to the lowest pit of their ability to know.

I do find some of them painful. They are written out of ignorance, defiance and, in many instances, a call for attention.

I do not generally bother with the obvious ones but do answer those that might actually be looking for an answer - or those that I know are giving false information.

I have not yet reached a point of taking a R&S vacation, but I am getting there.

Many Questions are not worthy of Answers, and some you can shed light on. But yes spending to much time trying to convince a none believer , can Grieve the Spirit. and will accomplish little.
