Well EoS, our young Entered Apprentice, you must apply those tools to yourself. I know it will be painful; I know that you will find that true change comes from within (however messy that gets), but in the end, you will become a smooth and acceptable stone.
You can chant (or at least sing) quite a bit in our Order but you did not say on which Door you Knocked. I am sure that you will learn to subdue those expectations and get on with the work of the day.
Hearty Good Wishes,
Master Mason

You know I usually get so frustrated at the responces that Mason questions generate. Most people that answer have no idea what they are talking about, but preach it like it was the gospel. I love it when they hear something from someone, who heard it from this one, that knew a guy, who once washed windows at the white house and saw George Washington wearing a dress, and now it is because he was a Mason, and it is true because so and so said it. What a laugh at all of this. Funny thing is on most of these questions and answers you can really tell who is and isn't a Mason. Good luck in your travels young man.

I know how you feel, the other day I bought a porno tape and when I got home and played it - it was blank all the way through, I called the store I got it from & said this porno tape was no good and they said they didn't carry porno tapes... I said I was just there! The lady says what was the tape called (in a demeaning & frustrated voice, which I really hate) and I told her "Head Cleaner".... she hung up on me.
On a serious note though... tell them you don't know how to build anything but you can decorate a sun room and arrange flowers in a bouqet, that will give them enough reason to let you go..
I've seen masons at a funeral, I thought when they 1st showed up I was being served some lunch.

You could really do some investigating on the masons to learn what they have become throughout the development of the group, but I would just run away very fast if I was you. Not because they may expect labor, but because what they once stood for in times past has in most cases become something their founders would not have ever participated in. They have some very shady members, and practices. I believe from what I have learned that they have been corrupted in several ways. Blessings.

I joined the scouts. I expected to just make campfires, earn merit badges, and run away from dodgy camp leaders.
In the end, it turned out I was mislead.
I was sent off to a foreign country armed only with light arms and a range of special military surveillance equipment. I was expected to sneak around in a dangerous environment, in the name of protecting my country.
I was subsequently killed, and now I lay in the corner of a foreign field, which is forever USA.

The Masons were the ancient order of constuction builders of the pyramids and they worship God mainly as the top builder of buildings. Also, I am not sure, but, Masons are anti-Semitic and also anti-roman catholic. But, all of our founding fathers were masons and also the most powerful men of the world, especially of this nation are masons. It is a very secret order and they probably do not like you to advertise on thiis website that you are a mason.

any of the people that answer that Masonry is satanic or a cult obviously have done NO FRIGGIN RESEARCH to backup their thoughts. try thinking for yourselves for a change. Christan's have a REAL problem with the Masons because they accept men that believe in *A* God not just the Christan God. THAT is their big gripe.
and BTW i **LOVE** it when the Christan's complain and preach about all the evils of Masonry and cant say enough GOOD things about the Shriner's. just so everyone is clear, YOU HAVE TO BE A MASON TO BE A SHRINER!!!

Don't listen to the people who say it's a Satanic cult. They're trying to scare you with lies and deception. It's "Satanic" because it implores the values of science and logic far more than the values of Christianity. It is very magickal, but despite "Christian" teachings, that does not make it evil.
As far as you having to build something... don't be so lazy. ;p
