I've been dating a woman for a year and a half. I'm absolutely in love with her. We live together and go out on dates often however tonight is the night we've termed "date night" as we go to the movies almost every Tuesday, it's dollar night. I want to do something romantic tonight to surprise her. Any ideas? Nothing to extravacant, just something special.

I'm a big fan of simple things - gretting cards, love notes in unexpected places, single red roses, etc.
I'm not sure where you live or what the weather is like, but here are a couple ideas:
- Drive in instead of the usual $1 movie
- Candlelight dinner & romantic movie at home. You could do things like feed each other strawberries & whipped cream, etc., full body massage, take a bath with her, etc.
- Go out of your way the entire night to build up the passion for when you get home.. Extra soft, passionate kisses, lingering just a little bit longer than normal, soft kisses on the neck.. rubbing her leg just a little higher than normal, maybe a couple suggestions about what you'd like to do to her later that evening.. Think of things that will please HER..
- You could get a bottle of wine & rent a hot tub for a couple of hours instead of the movie
An ex-boyfriend of mine dried the first bouqet of roses he ever bought for me out by pulling the buds (still in tact) off the stems and putting them in a brown paper bag for a couple of months.. then he ran me a bath with candles & oils, dropping the dried rose petals into the bath. The feeling of the petals on my skin was very erotic, and romantic!

Get a couple of candles, light them and make her a nice supper. A little bouquet of her favourite flowers on the table would be great too. When she sits down pull the chair out for her and after she is situated ...give her a little kiss. Then carry on. Good luck.

try something intimate, such as playing games.
I used to try this 'writting' game everytime I wanted something romantic without being too, you know, sexual.
It is about you writting words on her skin with you finger tips and she has to figure out which word it is. If she can figure out it is her turn to 'write' on you.
Face, arms, feet, neck... writting with your finger tips... or other thing... Use your creativity and make it warm up at any speed you like. It can last for HOURS... :-) and I can assure you that It NEVER gets boring! it is all up to you.
