While Frei Brothers is owned by Gallo, it has some decent and above average wines available. There is a shop in Clinton, NJ (Clinton Wine and Spirits) and also Wine Chateau.com in Metuchen, NJ and South River and also the Wine Library in Springfield.
Sorry I don't have a better understanding of cities near you.
Hope this helps!

Frei Brothers has a few different varietals. Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauv, Pinot Noir, Merlot. I like the Pinot Noir the best, but the chard is pretty good. You can find this brand at any liquor warehouse or big supermarket. Yes, it is owned by Gallo, but the reason you can find it at most supermarkets. Also, Redwood Creek is a brand that Frei Brothers gives the leftover juice to. So stay away from Redwood Creek, unless you're looking for something cheaper in price and quality.

There are a couple different kinds of this so be careful. One is pretty good, the other not so good. The one with Frei Brothers across the top is the best. I find it at any grocery store.

Some of my favorite reds are Swanson, Stags Leap, Sterling 2000, and Blackstone.

Cheers,

NS
