Because they can. You can think of it as Hell if you like, we don't mind.

Lots of people believe in "Summerland". I am a practicing pagan. Let me be clear here, just because I'm a pagan that doesn't mean that I don't see value in the teachings of other religions.

Do I believe in Jesus? Yes I do! I believe that Jesus was a wise man that walked this earth and shared a message of love and salvation with all he met.

At the same time I believe that other "teachers" have come before and will come again. My pagan beliefs allow me to see value in all religions and beliefs. I respect the beliefs of others... I just ask that they respect mine. Just because I believe something that's a little different from what you believe doesn't mean that I'm bad.

Paganism "witch craft" does not (and I repeat does not) mean devil worship. Pagans do not believe in the Christian idea of Satan. Pagans believe that mankind does enough evil on their own without blaming it on some "devil" to name something is to give it power. I will not give power to evil doers.

Summerland is the pagan equivilant of heaven. A place of peace, where we spend time with our friends and family before we move on. It's just a different name for a similar belief.

Don't let a difference in beliefs separate you from those you love. Jesus loved us all, you should too.

The concept of "Summerland" to Pagans is no different than the concept of "heaven" to christians.

Paganism has existed far longer than Christianity. Paganism plays off of spiritual beliefs; Christianity is LARGELY based on corruption and capitalism.

Note: I said LARGELY. Not all Christians are evil. ;p

Why does anyone practice any religion?

because they relate to it and believe in it, just as others believe in other religions, or don't believe in any religions.
