So many times I have set up a meeting with a guy I have met online at a coffee house or something similiar. It justs seems elementary to me that we would sit and have coffee there and talk but It seems like lately I keep meeting guys that ask me where I want to go sit rather than stay at the coffee place and have coffee. We end up walking away from it and sitting somewhere and talking and not having coffee. This seems kind of weird to me as if someone wanted to meet at a particular place , wouldn't you think you were going to eat there or have coffee, etc, not just take up a seat till the other party arrives?

Lots of reasons: 1. they might prefer a place that's quieter and more private than a coffee shop; 2. they might prefer to go somewhere where they won't be recognized; 3. maybe they don't like coffee or already had enough of it for the day or don't want to spend $3 for a cup of it. If you want to sip coffee, buy it while you're waiting for the guy.
