Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. Love does not demand its own way. Love is not irritable, and it keeps no record of when it has been wronged. It is never glad about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

I agree that it is but I don't know how it is attained. I have trouble and don't know how to love "everyone" as there are people that I just don't like at all. It's not easy learning or accepting the fact that we should all love one another when it's unconceivable to do so.......(how are you stranger)

love is a gift of God. That's what that whole chapter is about, gifts. It is the greatest of all the gifts and I have never seen anyone not gifted with the ability to love. Many on here will think we are talking about what the world call romantic love. That isn't it at all. As you read the passage it a love that we should carry with us for everyone. It is very hard to do when there are people in the world that would rather see us dead than alive and I admit I get angry with those who feel that way. Still I would have them come to Christ and have their hatred removed from their hearts and lets us turn all our on each other and toward God...Jim
