The Atman is Brahman answer points to the deepest beliefs about such things. This philosophy says we are waves on the ocean that is the divine, that God does not know your thoughts the way you present it, but God is you and the thought and everything else. i am not too sure how God knows what we are thinking, but i do know that whatever enters the heart, reaches to the mind, which then is censored by our judgement before leaving our mouth. God can see whatever enters our hearts. i do not know how, i just know that He does. with his help, we can defend ourselves against harmful thoughts in our hearts, long before they reach the mind.
