I'd love to read about others' experiences with that style of worship, regardless of religion.

I'm Pagan; one of the things I love about it is that I get to move and chant and sing *all the time*. I love giving myself over to a group and becoming part of something bigger, all to praise something bigger yet.

I have felt spiritual--not happy, not having fun, *spiritual*--in nightclubs, concerts, and parties.

I loved singing and moving in an Assemblies of God church as a Christian, and would have felt so much better if there was more of that and less, you know, *talking*. I felt God was something to be excited about.

I have always believed that something powerful enters a room where everyone is united like that. I have always loved group energy and felt there was power in it. And...well, maybe it's just that I love music anyway. I sing and dance when I cook, too.

So what are your thoughts and experiences?

I agree. It is marvelous to feel the energy of everyone around you mingling with your own and to know that you are part of the All. You really feel the presence of the Gods then and you become receptive to Their messages. It is a shame more people don't know spiritual ecstasy. It opens so many doors of wisdom and knowledge and it fills your heart with love and joy. Not only for the Gods, but also for your fellow material beings. I don't think most of your answerers have any clue what you're talking about.

I am Christian and I get to move and dance singing His praises all the time as well. What caused the change from Christianity for you? You don't have to be pagan to sing and dance all the time... I'm Christian and I love doing it. You should also listen to that "talking". It's called a sermon and it helps your walk with Him so much. Get an iPod and put worship music on it. You don't have to be in a church to sing and praise Him, you can do it anytime! I'll pray for you.

I practice Vodou. That is mainly what we do. We start somberly with prayers then we start with the singing and dancing until the lwa decide to show. It is great. For me being apart of something like that is amazing. You really feel close to divinity. Be apart of the religion not a bystander. Great question!

Just wondering who you are worshipping at the clubs? Who is it that's "bigger yet?"

You have to know, as a former Believer, that there are only two you can ultimately worship. God and satan.

You are right, though, God is very exciting! You can worship Him all the time, wherever you are, whatever you're doing. Come back to Him, He misses you!

I consider myself to be a humble worshipper and chant the appropriate hymns at an appropriate volume.

I am not a big fan of drawn out musical productions and the like.
