I am a woman who recently got my spouse to uk with spousal visa. i would like to know if i can get job seekers allowance or go on the dole as i am pregnant and unemployed. i was told that my spouse or i could not receive any benefits for two years so i just wanted to know for sure what the law is regarding this..My husband is working but on a very low income.Please advise.Thanx

Email me, I am british my husband a US citizen. We are in a similar situation as you, only different in the fact that I am disabled and too ill to work. Tell me on email exactly what the problem is and I will try and advise you ok?
