I do not. I think that it is a way for a child to get out of doing their work. What I would do is if you child gets one. Make her do the home work anyway he/ she is going to need to know how to do the work. She does not have to turn it in that way she is using it but still have the child do the work. I

Personally, I don't care much for it. I do like the idea of homework passes for the children...but not because their parents bought classroom supplies. I do realize that supplies are expensive and that teachers have small budgets, but I think she should come up with another way to pass out homework passes *such as correctly answering bonus questions along with their homework. She should be awarding hard work...not the parent's ability to provide classroom supplies.

I think it a great idea. With all the state budget issue's it is one way that the teacher can get some help from the community not one parent has to do it all. What is the difference between that and going to a shower or a birthday party, that someone has registered for?

No, I don't agree with the "homework passes". i think that the student should receive something but not homework passes, that will take away from the child's learning and more than likely upset other students.

The homework passes clearly reward a material gift, it´s unethical to say the least. Apart from that, at least this educator cares enough to be in contact with the community.

My son's teacher did the same thing this year (TX). It must be something new they're trying. I guess they'll do anything to get the kids to pass. I wish they'd just try teaching them and letting them earn they're grades.

I think it is somewhat unfair that the kid's with money or rich parents get a break. She should offer a different reward instead, even extra credit points would be better. Just my opinion.
