As a preservative. Also formaldehyde is many brands and types of wine. Formaldehyde will also kill mold, mildew, rotten foul odors - i.e. cat urine that has seeped into wood flooring etc. Great stuff if used properly.

To preserve the cherry, but you would have to eat about 100,000 cherries to notice the carcinogins.

People would be shocked at what is allowed to be put in our food!
People should read the ingredients and research them!!!
Did you know that ocean spray 100% pink grapefruit juice gets its color from get this... cockroachs? Its true, I cant remember the name they use on the label... something like carraginin something like that but if you call them and ask them they wont deny that the color is from the insect guts!!! Cockroaches.
Big YUCK!!!! Be careful what your unknowingly consuming!!!
