My daughter does this and she's only 20 months!

I flip the buckle around backwards (so the button is on the underside instead of on top) and the plastic clip for the straps I hook from underneith as well so if she pushes on it, it doesn't pop off.

do no longer use the powerful Tite. it may and could destroy your seatbelts. It says that's crash examined, yet no longer with the help of the comparable those that try the automobile seats, so who's responsive to how they examined it. It does not replace the locking clip. in certainty, if that's used you may desire to apply the locking clip besides. you may get a locking clip at little ones R Us, Toys R Us and maybe objective. additionally, if the automobile seat is being located interior the middle place with a lap belt in basic terms, you do no longer use the locking clip. With a shoulder belt, something after 1996 could have a locking mechanism. although if, while you're making use of an infant automobile seat with a base, it may a reason the backside to tip up. if so, i'd use the locking clip. maximum Graco and Evenflo automobile seats will choose the locking clip to maintain them from tipping. while making use of the clip, make constructive that's on the buckle ingredient of the seat belt, approximately one inch from the buckle. Buckle the seat in, pull the belt tight and carry onto the buckle. Unbuckle the belt and place the locking clip. Buckle lower back in. it won't flow extra desirable than one inch ingredient to ingredient. circulation on the front is fantastic. good success and congrats on the infant!

Is it a booster seat that uses the car's belt?? My 3 year old does that when I use the car's belt, but not if I put her in a 5-pt harness(her seat is a combo). If she is doing it with the car's belt try putting her back in a 5-pt. It's harder for them to reach the belt buckle that way plus it's a little safer.

I don't know what to tell you except get a new carseat. I know people who were pulled over by police and accused of not buckling their children in properly but really the child just unbuckled themselves. Go to the store and play with all the carseats and pick the one that would be the hardest for her to unbuckle. Also just put her in her carseat and while you're buckling her remind her to stay buckled. Tell her the policeman will come and get her and that he will be mad if she unbuckles. Anyway, good luck.

If you've reminded her about the police then when you see her unbuckling say "Uh oh, I see the policeman. You better buckle up before he sees you."

Babies R' Us sells car seat belt safety devices. My 2 year old now 5 hated when I got them put on but moved on to door locks(thank god for manufactured child safety locks) and to windows.Eventually toys will satisfy her and she'll leave things alone.

i don't know of one and when you think about it's kind of dangerous to have a seat belt lock just tell her that you'll give her candy or something like that if she stops unbuclkling her seat belt
