im sorry but the above dont all exist... on the contrary u should practise sports, theres even a hadeeth by prophet Mohammed (pbuh) that we should practice particular sports since childhood, to keep strong and healthy..

listening to music is not prohibited if ur listening to appropriate music... if u sit and listen to musicall about sex and murder and blood and etc.., then thats prohibited because it can have an affect on u..
and dancing also is not prohibited.. but for example, women dancing in front of men is prohibited... because it leads to physical attraction...etc...
singing is definetely not prohibited unless.... (see music)..

muslims celebrate just like anyone else and enjoy happy moments in life just like anyone else... u should live among us to know how normal most of us are and how we're really not as opressed and depressing as u make us seem..

God bless

singing is not prohibited it's the explicit lyrics if they apply. we celebrate by showing gratitude to Allah SWT. Also happiness doesn't come from dancing and singing it comes from your actions. Also sports are encouraged because it keeps the body fit. so you're comment about sports is incorrect. Islam enourages many things and happiness and self-happiness is very much encouraged. it's how you choose to be happy and what your actions are that dictate this. You also have to understand that not all dancers, singers and athletes are "happy"..happiness comes from within. Allah SWT resides within the hearts of all muslims..therefore we're happy.

1. Singing: not prohibited, unless lyrics are bad
2. music: not prohibited, unless lyrics are bad
3. dancing: women can only dance infront of themselves, if they dance infront of men, it might attract them to the women
4. Sports: certainly not prohibited! The prophet encouraged playing sports and keeping yourself fit. But, if you are playin, lets say basketball, and its time for one of the 5 prayers, then you should stop and pray and then you can continue again.

There are some restrictions, so you dont go to the bad stuff.

I know about music. I guess it's in some Hadith. But I don't know if they were strong or weak or false Hadith. Singing or dancing is not prohibited in general. But naked dancing or Belly dancing--offcourse.But didn't you see Arab men dancing with swords?Singing with sentences like--"Babe I love ur fukking boobs"--certainly is prohibited.
Sports are not prohibited in general too. There are some regulations in everything you do.
I will deny what is not true--provided that you don't quote the relevant
scripture or your source.

Sorry - Christian here...couldn't help myself on this one. I would just want to ask you if something about that doesn't seem right if your God was a God of Love and not a God of War? Jesus said my yolk is easy and my burden is light. God doesn't want His people to be oppressed. The enemy does. The Lord also WANTS you to be able to give him praise with singing and dancing and musical instruments. Read the very last psalm. God is GOOD precious one and LOVES you.

of course music ..played by an instrument is prohibited..but singing is NOT..you can sing as much as you want ...

you can listen to the recitation of HOLY QURAN....(if you have a open heart..) it would be the..most pleasing sound ....
one listen to music..to make one...relax....
and again...you would never.....feel...you have listened to it..before...its like always a new...thing to you..and that is...the miracle of HOLY QURAN
listening to the recitation...makes ..one so relaxed....
and of course Muslims can enjoy and celebrate...happy moments...by dancing.. in private ...its not forbidden,....
