Try the various animal shelters, I know I've seen pit and pit mix pups online at these places. Try craigslist, maybe someone on there has a "free" one with adoption fees. Just be wary of the kind of pitbull you can get for $125, you could end up with a great dog, or one that will cause you a lot of problems. Who knows, maybe someone has to get rid of theirs because of a change in living arrangements. Good luck. Maybe if I saw this before summer I could have asked one of my neighbors, they had pitbulls and a bunch of puppies, but they took them all down to live with family/be sold.

Before you buy a pit, I'd check the regulations for your area. I know a lot of the suburbs are really cracking down on ownership of "bully breeds", and that there are a lot of hoops to jump through if they actually let you have one. For instance, in most places the dog can't be on a leash longer than 4 feet, must be muzzled at all times when outside, you have to post a "Beware of Dog" sign, and there are some really exorbitant ownership fees paid to the city/county government, fees that are even higher if you don't get the dog spayed or neutered. I'm not saying you shouldn't get one/look for one, just do your homework so those things don't take you by surprise, financially or otherwise.

No. But you could have had hundreds from Denver a few months back. Various cities keep making them illegal and everyone has to give away their dogs or move.
