Uh, because if the shroud is a fake then you'd probably be cloning some medieval peasant rather than Jesus.

Even if it were possible to reproduce a replica of the human side of Christ it wold make no matter for two reasons:
1] Because of the Hypostatic union He was fully God and fully man. To replicate one side would not produce 'Jesus' as an entity.
2] A an living in our time would not be the same as a man living in the first century so even the man Jesus would not be like the prototype.

If you know even the basic components of cloning, you know that even if a corporeal body can be cloned, a spirit cannot.

So, if there were DNA of Jesus' body left on Earth, which there most likely is not, you would just be cloning a body.

DUH.

Because, cloning Jesus would be like cloning the Easter Bunny or the Tooth Fairy or an intelligent republican. You can't clone what doesn't exist!

The Shroud of Turin didn't have human cells making up the image.

Cloning humans is illegal, and has never been accomplished.

i thought this was actually an intelligent question, but it's obvious from the details you've provided that it's just another way for you to bash and slander something you don't believe in (and the people who do) without providing any valid argument.

We don't need to clone him. However, I do believe you need a life.
