Greetings sir, I submit to you and all "professing" atheist's that to disbelieve in GOD or to claim that GOD does not exist, which is the definition of atheism by the way, is foolish. Allow me to elaborate please. To make such a dogmatic declaration one would have to posess all knowledge in the universe. For example, if I declared that there is no gold in china I would have to posess all knowledge about China. I would have to know that there is no gold buried in the ground any where in China. I would have to know that of everyone living there, no one has gold in their dental work. I would have to know that there was no jewelery made of gold; that none was in any river, pond or stream. These are just a few examples of what I would have to know to make the declaration, that there is no gold in China. It would be unreasonable foolishness for me to make that declaration. The same concept can be applied to one who makes the declaration that there is no GOD.... One would have to posess all knowledge in the universe. Heres a little 2 question test that a well known Christian apologist came up with he dubs the "atheist test ".
1) How many granulas of sand are there on all the beaches in all of the world? and 2) How many hairs are there on the back of a full grown tibetan yac?.... I posed these questions to prove that no one in the world posesses all knowledge in the universe.
Thomas Edison a well respected thinker and inventor made the statement that man does not know one millioneth of 1 percent about anything.... lets say that someone posesses an incredible one percent of all knowledge in all the universe.... would it be possible that somewhere within the other 99 percent that there could be proof for the existence of GOD???? If someone is being reasonable they would have to admit that it is possible....with that being said I again submit to you and all living in atheism that atheism is unreasonable and foolish....
~GOD BLESS YOU ALL~

I do not consider myself 'religious' but I have a relationship with God. If you had to label me then I would wear the label Christian. I think your question is an interesting one and will return to see your answers received.

Atheist.

"We are all atheists about most of the gods that humanity has ever believed in. Some of us just go one god further."

I am an atheist because I lack god beliefs. Everyone is either theist ( have god belief) or atheist ( lack god belief ). There is no other possibility. Agnosticism really has nothing to do with god belief one way or the other.
