Umm...who's SS# does he have? Did he get it from the government when he became a legal citizen?
Just because he "has" a SS# doesn't mean he is legal.
If he has a number that isn't his then he is breaking the law at least twice. He should go back to where he came from and get legal before he gets arrested and misses his sons whole life.

you did not state how long he has been in the U.S. Since your son's father was two months old or since your son was 2 months old, but if the father entered before January 1972 he can apply for the Registry Program. Any alien residing in the U. S. since before this date may be eligible for Permanent Resident Status( green card). If not, the only way may be if you marry him, but if he entered illegally you will have a problem completing the process. And for all others just because an alien marries a U.S. citizen the alien is not automatically eligible for a green card or citizenship.

I am guessing that he is here illegally? I suggest that if you two love each other and want to get married that you apply for his papers, he will have to return to his country for about 6 mos.

Please tell us more. Is there some kind of problem with your son or his father? Does he have a legal SS#? Are you looking for him to support his son?

You need to contact immigration and find out what can be done for his citizenship, I assume that he is not legal and thats why your asking.

try to get legal....if it means he has to leave and come back, so be it... but it is best to treat ur son to do the right thing....
and hopefully he is using a legal social?!!!
