if they are contractors they can charge whatever amount they believe their time is worth. On the other hand you can counter offer to pay what ever amount you believe would be fair, unless you just went looking for someone to work for you at 5 dollars an hour and didn't find anyone to accept your offer. So you branded them as illegals and got yourself upset. I mean how often do you approach people and ask: Are you an illegal? You must have some type of talent identifying peoples legal status but no talent doing your own project, I say this because you state you went to Home Depot, where most people go when they want to do something for their self.

The workers doesnt "charge" the employer, the employer pays the workers what they feel is the proper rate for the job.

i didnt knew that, but how do u kno thats what they ask? and i guess they are there because ppl hire them. because ppl wouldnt wana pay 25-35an hour for a construction company

well if their makin that kind of money and they are illegals report them nasty basturds. you can bet your tax payin a## that if we worked in mexico we would have to pay our share and not get a free ride from the mexican goverment.
