Personal Jesus by Depeche Mode is one of my all time favorites. But, I also like Highway to Hell, Shout at the Devil, and several others that were obviously inspired by christianity. What should I do?

Axl Rose remade that old Rolling Stones hymn, "Sympathy For The Devil". I've always enjoyed that one as well. I like it a lot better than Amazing Grace.

Personal Jesus was inspired by a book written by Prisilla Presley in which she said she thought of Elvis as her own personal jesus.
Highway to Hell is about life on the road. Awesome song by the way.
And I don't care for Motley Crue. So I cannot comment on it.

The only thing wrong is that you are still an Atheist even after being moved by a Christian song. The song could easily be one of the many ways God is calling you to conversion.

not all Christians attempt to rework Atheists. you're in simple terms assuming you'd be with Jesus for all eternity. you won't be able to probably recognize. you do not have any excellent to "share the Gospel with them". they don't look to have an interest in it. Please appreciate their desires. if you're a "actual" Christian, you would not be indignant if Atheists say:"hurtful and disrespectful stuff".

You remind me of the parable of the lost sheep. You are just groping in the dark trying to find your way home. There is nothing wrong with you. Its Gods spirit in you that makes the connection with the Christian Inspired songs.

I used to be like you till i accepted Christ which i will like you to as well then you will understand the connection even better. He has different ways of reaching us but we either accept him or reject Him. We all have a choice.

There is definitely nothing wrong with you. get a Bible, read it and the Holy Sipirt will surely lead you to your answers.

Remain Blessed !!!!

If you were listening to Jesus Freak by DC talk or "my savior" by mark Schultz that would be one thing. But there isnt a problem with it either way if you still like that music then thats what you like.
But there isnt anything wrong with liking something even if you dont believe in it.

Not at all. It's the same as a Christian liking songs put out by secular (or even atheist) artists.

I live in present days (obviously), and I love 60s, 70s, and 80s music. I prefer Billy Joel to rap, Journey to R&B, and Phil Collins to country. It's not a bad thing, it's just preference. Good for you for not conforming.

You're not an atheist. Your heart is telling you that you are searching for the truth. The human spirit is musical, God make us that way. He is drawing you in because He loves you and wants your affection. The Christian songs are a gift from God. Receive them and enjoy God's lovesongs to you. He is lovesick for you.
