Everyone discourages people who wants to try a long term fast. Why? There are healthy ways to fast and IT IS possible to break a fast without gaining back the weight you lost. So, WHY is fasting so frowned upon?

Do these non-fasters fail to do research on the things that they are so opinionated about?
Or, are the non-fasters just frustrated over their own lack of willpower?
What do you think?

I do it all the time. Fasting is good for your soul. I only eat one meal a day and fast the rest. To date, i've lost 35lbs without diet pills........ purely by controlling my diet or food intake.

It has nothing to do with willpower. The body needs nutrients to survive. Feeding the body is the best way to keep it alive and healthy. You wouldn't drive a car with no gas, would you?

i have an eating disorder, so yeah, i fast, but no, it's not healthy. Especially long term. A day or two of water fasting is good for you but any longer and you are risking your health
