Depending on you experience and on the location. You can check this out in salary.com where they post even benefits from different industries. I've seen salaries of $40,000 for entry level Engineers in the pharmaceutical, medical devices (otherwise known as regulated enviroments) industries up to $100,000 for 8 years experience. Everything depends on the industry and on the location. NY pays much more than Wisconsin, and so forth. Check out the site.
