We've been together for 8 months, its my girlfriends 21st birthday and I'm not sure what to get her. She says a laptop, but that doesn't seem like the coolest of gifts. What do you think?

It's an expensive gift, but if you can afford it, and it's what she asked for, then I'd get it for her.
If you want to make it more romantic or personalized, maybe you could get several pictures of the two of you together & set the screensavor up to be a slide show of those pictures.

dude i think a lap top is a bit much! MAYBE if you were married then yes! think of this.... if you break up what will happen with the laptop??? i would rather spend that money on a cool holiday that she wont forget!!! but what do i know i am only dating my girl for 4 months and i am 18 from south africa

If a laptop is what she wants, and you can afford it, then yes definitely get her one for her birthday. And it will be a cool gift because it's want she wants to get and it will be from you. :) Just remember not to overspend your budget. Good luck.

great gift it could reallyhelp her with alot of things computers are very useful also if thats what she says get it make it interesting though and make her think she not getting nothing

well if she'd really like one, its a cool gift idea, a way to personalize it and make it a little romantic, you can load her favorite songs or songs that you love together, to personalize it.

If you can afford it sure. It is what SHE wants. It's not what you want that counts. If your budget is short though, tell her you will get her something you can afford like a cellphone or ipod.
