But you still wants rights like every other American.
Sure, you'll get them. But,know, you could get every right in America and people will look at you different.

Well, If you're born Gay then obviously it ISNT something "normal".
If I was born Straight, then "tada" I have fallen into the catagory that the human race "survives" on. If you're born gay then you should be classified with a type of Disorder. Sure, you'll get your rights but you should encouraged to see a Specialist! Someone who could teach you how "human life", and for that fact, Life as we know it for any species was created.

I also believe that since the word "marriage" no longer means a union between a man and woman, Straight people should abandon it and use a different term to seperate those who choose the path of normalcy and those who stray off the path. Does anyone agree since THERE"S NOT a word to define a man and a woman joining together? It seems like the celebrating word of two joining has lost its shine

Daphne---- being born in a racial group does not constitute the meaning of the word 'disorder'

On the other hand, being born deaf, or blind is a defect and it is treated accordingly...

Why would two people who want to commit to love each other cause any other relationship to "loose its shine"? There is no proof or merit to that statement. Simply because you don't think being gay is normal does not mean it's not....gay people have been around for as long as straight people...it's not something new. And what does a gay person have to do with you? How does a gay couple affect you and your life? Since you are not gay, how would you know that gay people are not born that way? You were born straight, right? Or did you make a "choice" not to be gay? Since being gay, in your eyes, is a disorder and you are obviously very concerned with our well being please by all means call a doctor and find out what causes homosexuality so we can be cured. You make claims, about gay people, that are not based in fact but in your own narrow opinion. You don't understand gay people, you don't want to - I doubt you even know any. Using the "procreation" argument is moot, since we as humans don't need to actually have sex to procreate. And the human race is in absolutely no danger of becoming extinct. If you really looked at the situation, and yourself, you would realize that gay people are not a threat to anything or anyone. If anyone should see a “specialist” it should be you – homophobia is treatable.

If you're born gay then obviously it ISN'T normal??????????????????????????????? Where do you get this idea? Just because you view something as not normal, doesn't mean it isn't for those who are that way. And, um, Homosexuality used to be considered a Disorder... still is according to a report by the CIA (who, by the way, are NOT doctors and not credible for this type of thing). But a lot of doctors are seeing it more as a way certain people are... something that simply happens, especially at the time of puberty.

As for "any species" was "created" lol... did you miss science class? worms and frogs do not need mates at all in order to reproduce. It's even been shown that if female rabbits can not find a mate within a certain amount of time, they will reproduce without a mate.

Now you need a Special Word to determine a union between you and another person because 2 gay ppl want to use the word for their union? ROFL Wow, this has really gotten to you, hasn't it? If you need a Special Word because you feel the "celebration" itself has lost it's shine... maybe it never had that shine for you to begin with.

I can't believe people waste their time in thinking about what other people are doing in the privacy of their own homes. And actually letting it get to the point that it's disturbing them. Your relationships with other people are what YOU make of it. If you allow outside influences, such as a gay couple, to do anything at all to it... then it is YOU with the problem. Not them.

a) It's chemical, not an excuse. Try reading and learning instead of judging.

b) Who said that everyone here is American? I'm an Australian and I'm certainly not the only one here.

c) We have a disorder?! Oh please! The human race will survive. If anything, it is flourishing at an alarming rate. Go ask any Child Protection workers if they have problems housing all the children in need. Larger population: larger amount of homeless children. Cities like Tokyo are very over-populated and yet you are ranting like the human race is dwindling! There is such a thing as sperm donation et cetera which enable lesbians AND single women to raise a child. It isn't just straight men and women who are reproducing.

d) I bleed red, you bleed red... what's the difference between us? Except that I'm attracted to women and you are attracted to wom..... oops, no difference there. If GLBTIQ people were asking for MORE rights than straight people then I could see your frustration but we're not. You get to marry the person you love so why should we be denied that same right?

a million. The gay gene has been got here upon, so all of us comprehend it is the genes. remember sexually is a complicated subject there are 40 two genes that administration our sexually. those genes ought to act with one yet another, it is attainable one among your mothers and fathers had it, whether it wasn't a dominate gene and it is outcomes the place blocked by utilising different genes, very comparable to how 2 darkish hair mothers and fathers could have a blond son. 2. One chemical imbalance concept has been shown. If a mom has some sons her physique would grow to be proof against testosterone which suppresses it is outcomes on her unborn son which will make him gay. in simple terms because of the fact is led to by utilising a chemical imbalance would not make it a disease. i desire that helps slightly.

So you're asserting that the idea of being born gay is just an excuse? Or accepting that it is by birth and not choice and therefore a 'disorder'?

If you believe it's a choice, then pray tell, when did you choose to be straight? And if you had to make that choice, does that mean at some point you were other than straight? So what were you before you chose to be straight?

Are you saying that marriage is for procreation? If so, should men who have had their ability to procreate because of cancer be denied the right to marry? How about women who have had to have histerectomies? Should they be denied marriage, since they can't breed?

Are you saying that the whole point of two adults loving each other is breeding? If so, what of love? Should we just line up men on one side of the room, women on the other, and assign them to each other at random?

---------------

Wayofthecross12 -- You're wrong, actually, numerous studies have in fact shown that homosexuality is NOT a choice. The most telling is the ones that studied arousal in heterosexual and passive males, homosexual males, and heterosexual gay-aggressive males. Surprisingly enough (or maybe not), it turned out the so called heterosexual gay bashers were more sexually aroused by male imagery than were the homosexual males.

I'm not going to be all PC , because I'm going to express what I think. I don't hate gay people , I'm not going to go beat the piss out of someone because they are gay. Hell I've even done some things but, logically for the human species it does make NO sense . It doesn't allow for procreation in a natural way. Then so many other things human beings do make NO sense. Monogamy makes NO sense either if its all about procreation. However in a union , offspring have a better chance at surviving because there are two people providing not just one. Unions were created for the survival of the young and the benefit of a family.

The meaning of union has evolved to become the joining of two people together , could be two men could be two women. Families have changed , with the divorce rate up. Monongamy has gone by the wayside and so families have suffered and any means by which a family can be made whole again is beneficial even if it is by the joining of a man and a man or a woman and a woman.

People are NOT born gay , it comes with life experience. They used to put people who were gay in wards during the 60s. It didn't work too well I guess. What I don't agree with is the people who say they are gay because they are trying to be trendy or something. If you are TRULY gay that is one thing, but if you're not than don't pretend to be something you aren't. You should ALWAYS be yourself at any rate.

Yes The joining of two people together has lost its shine, People get picky and selfish and don't try to work things out. They divorce for stupid reasons , they go out and cheat on one another ( another selfish act ) . Even gay people cheat on one another. People need to stop screwing around and be good to one another , before everyone starts killing everyone else off and there is only one person left who will inevitably die.

If you're born into a minority ethnic or racial group, or you are born crippled, blind, deaf etc you are still a worthwhile human being who deserves rights and respect. It sounds like "normal" in your definition means whatever the majority of people are - otherwise they have a "Disorder". When we class one type of person as less than worthy it's really easy to put lots of other people into that pot.

There are a lot of people who are different than me and my group of friends. Our group could be called the "normal" group in this community. Perhaps everyone else needs to see a specialist so they can be assimilated.

This begs the question: Why on earth do you care what two consenting adults do behind close doors that in NO WAY affects your life? They are no more bent than men and women who that enjoy sex for the sake of pleasure (condoms, oral, etc…). Arguing that it for the survival of the species is flawed, we have plenty of people to assure our survival if we can keep from destroying the planet.

So what gays are different than the norm? They are still people and they want the same things everyone else does, to be happy and have the freedom to pursue that happiness. Let ‘em, try to quit fantasizing about what they are doing in their bedroom and accept them as PEOPLE who like something different than you do. I PROMISE that no gay person will sneak up behind you and turn you gay if you are strait. The worst a gay boogeyman will do would be to redecorate your room (sorry I had to put the stereotypical joke in there, I couldn’t help myself). =)

Why do you care?
How does other people being gay affect you?
Being gay used to be classified as a psychological disorder, I suspect it is a physiological disorder. So what? Who cares. It doesn't hurt anybody else, or does it? Should we make them sit in the back of the bus? Drink from different fountains? Confine them to gayttos? Sell them as slaves?
The human species is a disordered as a whole. We have reproduced to the point of overpopulation. Overpopulation and the struggle to survive is going to destroy what's left of our planet. At least Gay people aren't breeding retards like your parents apparently did.
Grow up and get real. If you want something to worry about, worry about global warming, pollution, pestilence, destitution, starvation, cruelty, bigotry, and hatred.

P.S. To all of you who say people are not born gay should do your homework. Scientists can make lab animals gay by adding testosterone to a time in their development that will make males sexually attracted to males and females to females. Do your own research and stop perpetuating ignorance.

PPS West, It appears that you exist deep in fear and anguish. There is still hope for you. You can change your ways and walk the path of God. The path that is free of fear, hatred, and judgement. Jesus taught love and acceptance. I suggest you focus on this if you want to get in touch with God.

you answered your own question in your last sentence. 'the celebrating word of two joining'. Well two people are joining whether they are different sexes or not. you should have more of a problem with these guys with several wives. they are the ones that destroy the meaning of the word marriage. to me a marriage is 2 PEOPLE who love each other making vows, regardless of if they are the same sex. you should see a specialist for having no acceptance.
