It's not that big of an age difference, but I would feel deceived and angry that he lied in the first place. The ball is really in your court. If you can forgive him for lying and can deal with being with a 17 year old, then by all means do that. But if his lying means you will not be able to trust him anymore and if you feel he is too young for you, by all means end the relationship. It also depends how strong your feelings were for him. If you were starting to develop feelings, I would probably avoid him for a while just to show him that lying to you will not be tolerated. I would also discuss this with him just so he understands that you do mean business.

hi
u have two options open to u.
the first is u can continue in the relationship if u really love him.in that case u just pretend that he is of the age u thot he wasOR
u tell him that u cant continue with the relationship cos u were actully deceived in the first place int o blivin that he was of a particul;ar age.
u can still keep him as a mere friend bt nt a soul partner cos the love will b lackin

this is a hard one cause you could end up in jail! But if you really like him you need to find out when he turns 18 and keep things calm and quit until then, if you want a relationship.
Or you could just get the he** out of it before you go to jail.
Good Luck!

You are the mature one, here. He's only 17. You have some more life experience than he does, and think somewhat differently that he does. I would break it off gently. Find people around your age who have more in common with you.

Well i would find out why he lied in the first place. And can't you get arrested for dating someone sunder the age of 18??? I don't know that is just what i heard. But then just sit and talk with him, find out what else he has lied about. But that is just me.

thats not that large of a age gap, but theres a maturity factor
how off is he from being 18? (and legal)
and you are talkin past tense, so i wouldnt do anything.. i would be shocked.. but i would move on.
are you still in a "relationship" or longin to be with him?

Dump him. It may not seem like a big difference, but he's so immature right now. Especially since boys mature e-x-t-r-e-m-e-l-y slow (do they ever?!) Plus, if he's lying to you about his age, what else is he lying to you about.

loads of people say that you can get in jail for it, but in fact, age doesn't matter. talk to him about it and find out the reason of his lie.
