Emotional diseases should be treated with a mental specialist. Whenever a person has a problem with their hearts, they go to a cardiologists, when you have a mental problem (this doesn't mean you are crazy) you should go to a mental specialist. It will help you heal emotional diseases. An emotion is always shown in the body.

There are a couple factors to be considered.. chemical imbalance, too much negative thinking. One you can learn to control, the other requires the application of a substance to bring the balance back under control.
It would have to be much more specific to be considered a disease

each mental disease is brought on by different or combination of things:
disease, usually chronic, but not always ie, hcv, hbv, aids, bacterial infections and other virals
trauma, ie, head injuries of any kind no matter how bad or not
social issues: rape, environment, death of a loved one
mental illness does not occur unless one of the above has happened, it does not appear by itself for no unknown reason!
good luck!
