My mother's birthday is coming up and I dont' have any good ideas. She likes cooking, but cooking presents have been done-to-death. I did get her a vase last year which she loves.

I'm looking to spend around $30.

If she likes cooking, she probably also likes tasting. How about some sort of cooking class at a community center? They are usually around $30-40 for in district residents...

Clean her house or apartment.

Buy the ingredients to a meal and cook it for her.

Take her out to a restaurant she has always wanted to go to.

Treat her to a cooking class at an adult school.`

If your mom likes cooking than take her out to eat and give her a red rose afterwards. If not that then get her 30 dollars in food. She might be able to use it. Nowadays it might be wise to buy her 30 dollars in gas...

Is your mom older? Everyday make life easier ideas:
Water cooler with the 3 gal. bottles of water, electric jar opener, one of those "grabbers" that grab things out of reach,

Flowers with a handwritten card - THANKING her for all the hard work she done and the patience she had to have to RAISE you!!!

A nail/spa certificate.

Those are the things I like to do for my mom. She always appreciates the "make life easier" gifts.

My mum's favorite has always been a nice card, and a picture of her family. It's not too expensive - you can have a regular picture blown up and buy a frame fairly cheaply. On that note, I have to go call her, cause today IS my mum's b-day! Good luck & Happy Bday to your Mum!

Do a scrapbook. Get pictures of every one in family and friends. Put them together in a scrapbook. Include pictures from vacations and party's. It's something that isn't to expensive, but most people love!

go online to gifts for her. They have all kinds of things. What does she like besides cooking? Music, food? You could always take her to a special resturaunt like japanese or get acertificate to her favorite resturaunt.

after all that cooking for the ones she love mom would probably want to take a soothing hot bath so i suggest you can go to Bath And Body Works and get her a nice basket filled with body lotion, bubble bath, body wash, etc........ they price range from 10.00 to 30.00 good luck and tell mom happy birthday.
