there is nothing i would ever follow than Islam. not becoz im a religous fanatic or becoz i was islam-fed since childhood. but i was once there where most people are. i was good at the recital of Quran by 7 and by 12 i had read both the OT/NT.

but i had never read the meaning of Quran. for about a year i was wondering about many things: esp the purpose of life. u wont beleive me,but it was my younger brother who said the Quran recital is of no value until one knows its meaning.

i got myself a copy of Translated version and since that day, my heart is filled only with Tawheed and Al-Ikhlas. Questioning my beleif had brought me closer to Allah and His messenger. and i am glad that it happened or else i would have been wandering without any answers till date.

I did a report on the Muslim religion and paid attention to what the Muslims have been saying.

Right now there is a cult Muslim following made up of false teachers and the Muslim leaders could get rid of them by using a version of excommunication that keeps the Catholic people in line. Suicide is bad and you only get the virgins if you are a non soldier and are a male and is killed by a soldier while not fighting. Also during that time when the Koran was being made, people were getting married around 13 or 14 and who really wants that many teenage girls and listening to the Backstreet Boys for all of eternity? The Koran labels the Jews and Christians brothers. Israel and India are both used as scape goats for the extreme poverty in Arab lands. If Iran spent as much helping the Palestinians as they were spending weapons on destroying Israel, there wouldn't be the problems of war between Israel and it's neighbors. It would also not help Iran's leadership defect blame on the poverty at home (even though they are making billions off of their oil). Muslims also fight other Muslims, because there is the typical third world corruption.

The general Muslim idea is Mohamed was given some more rules and teachings (after the Torah and New Testament) from an angel of God. After his death, there was a major power strugle and so the Koran has no set interpetation now, causing various factions to pick and chose (taking things out of context) out of the Koran while calling themselves Muslims.

In my studies, from pro-Islamic sites,

I cannot accept Muhammad as a prophet.

God sent Jesus his Son to fulfill the Old Testament laws and start an new covenant with ALL people and lived the perfect example of no sin, and taught Peace, Love, and Repentance.
He did not take many wives, he did not raise an army and kill others. His teachings are based on love and praying even for our enemy's.

Muhammad was influenced by the heretics of the time, he raised army's killed people, had 15 wives (9 at one time) including a 9 year old girl. He did this even though the angel told him that men should have only 4 wives.

He instituted instant marriage and divorce for men, and that men should determine the friends their wives should have. Men can also sleep with their servants.

He left Islam with no central way to control radical leaders.

He returns us to the Old Testament laws and punishments like Stoning of women.

I could go on and on, and this is NOT a cut and paste!

Peace!

I believe it is a faith that was used by Mohammed to gain power. Whether he truly believed it himself or not, I am not sure. There are certain aspects that can be taken as purely spiritual, but mostly it is a very physical religion, even with very physical rewards in it's version of heaven. Mohammed clearly heard much about Judaism and Christianity and incoporated many aspects of these faiths into his own religion, but it lacks a lot of refinement and leaves many questions concerning one's actual course in eternity.

I compare it to Mormonism...I find the two religions very similar.

I have read the Koran, several history books concerning the origin of Islam, and yes, I do have Muslim friends, two of which I am very close with. One of those Muslim friends converted to Christianity, however.

Islam is the greatest evil facing the world today. I formed this opinion more than 30 yrs before becoming of The True Christian Faith... In interaction with those who are decieved by this evil. From Lybia to Turky. Even those of that evil who still reside in Israel. Every action since, that I have witnessed, of the forces of the evil which is islam, has done nothing but make my conviction firmer.

I have studied the Quran in a 400 level college coarse before along with research ever since. I found Islam to be a very dogmatic, ungodly, oppressive, violent, chauvinistic, arab, dishonest, anti-Christ, anti-socialist, facist, rigid, unhealthy, unbeneficial religion.

I have indeed had several Muslim friends where I used to work. I did talk to them about Jesus but I didnt know what I know now about Islam.

I honestly think it's a wonderful religion, full of a rich history and culture. I've read the Quran, searched online site, my favorite is religioustolerance.com and have seen a few Islamic documentaries on the History Channel and History International. I may not know everything about it but I do know that despite the radicals (which are in every religion) it is a peaceful religion which honors wisdom and knowledge above all else.

Some email and say that they believe that Jesus is a "divine prophet" or led a "divine life" but they do not believe the same as me that Jesus Christ is the one God and the visible God and that "Son of God" means the Divine Human form or Divine Human body that God won and made divine through combats with the hells.
