As far as a straight drink, personally I can't handle anything stronger than Schnapps, of which I'd say peach is the best. I can't stand hard liquor straight. As far as mixed drinks, I like Tom Collins. Its basically lemon, carbonation and gin (although you can substitute rum). For instance I use a 16 ounce diet sprite, put one of those crystal light lemonade packets for a 16 oz bottle of water in it and about 5-6 shots of gin. Tasty, relatively low calorie and pretty strong.

If you want a "strong" liquor then I would go with Crown Royal or Seagrams 7...you will need to mix it with coke but they can get the job done.
It want something sweeter but not as strong then Parot Bay rum is good you can drink it over ice.

For Whisky I would say Gentlemans Jack made by Jack Daniels. For Tequila it MUST be Joes Cuervo Black.

There is some pretty good aged rum that can be sipped that is 150 proof or higher
Also you can find good Tequila that is 120 proof or higher
