Your dream is conveying a message from your subconscious regarding the desire for more interaction with old and trusted friends and loved ones. In your dream, the tearing of paper represents your life at the time of your dream, and the events in the dream represent the events of your current life and the passage of time. The interaction with the main theme of the dream represents a desire for that comfort and good feeling of spending time with familiar, comfortable people who know you and love you. Some part of you misses spending time with people like that, or would like to have that kind of interaction more often.

if it's money that you tore, that's a sign that nothing can solve the problem you have (this is what your subconscious believes)
if it's other paper, whatever is in the paper, that's a sign that whatever that paper's about, it cannot solve the problem you have.
I think your mind is telling you that you have be creative in the upcoming choices you have to make.

It could mean lots of things.
It could mean a release of anger
give up things you have done
lose confidence on things you wish to fulfil
It all depends on full detail of the dream

Wanting to end something in your life. It depends on the whole dream, more details would be great.

it means you're gonna be torn in half....either you will have to make a major decision in your life or you'll be torn between two lovers, career change, ect. In summary, you're gonna hit a fork on the path of life (if you haven't alrdy) that you will have to choose which direction you're gonna take. It's a life changing decision.
