US Citizens have a LEGAL Social Security number as well as a birth certificate stating that they are Legal Citizens, you have a birth certificate showing you are a legal citizen of another country. So we all have papers, you are the one who doesnt.

Why does anyone need a passport if they don't plan on traveling out of the country? Identity cards you think this is Nazi Germany. I am a natural born U.S. citizen and I have a birth certificate to prove it

you don't need a passport to show your citizenship if you have a birth certificate.... that is even more important.... means you were born and breed american
