Freeze it or buy potato bread - it stays fresh longer.

not that bread last more than a day or two in my house, but I use those air tight bread keepers. They are amazing. I spent a week with my sister in OK and when I came home the bread was just as fresh as if I had just bought it.

Definately get it pre sliced in Sainsbury's, I choose the thicker sliced determination. Then quickly into the freezer and take out once you pick a slice. maximum toasters have a frozen button which will enable to taost for a splash longer and in case you're taking a slice out to make a sansdwich, it makes speading butting less demanding and then will stay cool somewhat longer so by using the time you eat your lunch it nonetheless tastes truly sparkling.

Sourdough (REAL sourdough) bread stays freshest longest - try that. You'll only have to keep it in your fridge if it's very, very hot and humid in your kitchen. Many rye breads are also made with sourdough.

If you hate sourdough, try dividing your slices into plastic ziploc bags (remember, you can reuse the bags, because they'll only have bread in them) with one or two peieces in them, and keep them in the freezer - just take out what yo['ll need the night before for your toast, sandwiches, etc. Or freeze half a loaf at a time.

Wrap it in plastic and put in the freezer.
I do this with sliced rye bread. When I want two slices, I wedge them off with a knife, then put them into the microwave for 20 second on one side, turn them over, 10 seconds more and it is just like fresh, soft, warm bread.

Freeze it & pull out what you want a 1/2 hour to an hour or so before you need to use it.
Putting it in the refrigerator helps to keep it longer also.

Freeze it. You can remove a slice or two and they will defrost in less than a minute.
