In order not to damage your hair, let the color you have now stay in for a few weeks, you may learn to like it, you never know. If not, dye it in back in stages from the brown you currently are back to the blonde you were, considering what your natural color is, if you a strawberry or golden blonde, it will not be as long as trying to go back to platinum blonde. Hope this helps.

I have done the same thing many times. I have come to the conclusion it is more satisfying to be a blonde. When you can go back to blonde depends on what state your hair is in. Have you dyed it before? Is is brittle or strong? I would not try to do anything yourself. It is a very BAD decision. Your color will not turn out the way you want it to. If you attempt to do it yourself the probability of you putting bleach on it and it ending up orangey and brassy will be very great. Make an appointment at a professional salon and have them start just by putting in a heavy weave of blonde highlights. You will be back to your old hair in no time. I cannot stress enough to not try anything yourself.

If you used permanent dye on naturally blonde hair, to change it back you would have to use a dye-remover/hair bleach and then redye your hair the color you want it. It is not something you should try at home and if you are really unhappy with the brown you should go talk to your stylist. If you try it at home, your hair may end up a beautiful shade of orange or a very unnatural, brassy blonde color. Maybe your stylist could lighten it to a light brown and then add some blonde highlights to give it some dimension. It would probably be less damaging than bleaching your hair back to blonde.

Hi you could if it is your first time you have died it only if it is not a dark brown colour. I would only recommend going blonde to brown once as it does strip your hair pigment and it wont change colour any more. Just go and do it at the hairdressers though.

Once you have dyed the hair it has now become porous and may "pick up" thye color of the base of the dye if you redo it ( may get a greenish, cast to it or red or violt, etc) My advice at this stage would be to turn to a professional, so you dont wind up with a disaster.

I would honestly go and visit a hair salon, they normally do free consultations in which you can assess the damage caused to the hair, because it is a big change you may need to do it gradually as the damage to the hair will increase by colouring over coloured hair.

probably best if you went to a salon. Your hair will be stained from the dye. Not easy to go back to blonde without bleach now.

There should be a help number on the box, the person who answers should be able to give you the exact time for the product that you have used. They may even be able to sugest another color you would like better. you could also go to a salon, they would be able to help you immediatly. otherwise wait at least 4-6 weeks.

I'm naturally blonde but dyed my hair dark 3 yeras ago....it takes time to get used to it cos it's so dramatic. To begin with my family hated it, just couldn't get used to it but after a few weeks or so everyone loved it, it took me time to get used to it too and i had moments of wanting to go back blonde but honestly i prefer it now....so just give yourself time to adjust to it and see how you feel in a few weeks. If your desperate just make sure you go to a good salon to get it back blonde.
