Highlights for darkish brown hair?

My hair is dark/medium brown, and I've been thinking about getting highlights. I'm only 15, so I want it to look completely natural. Is it possible for highlighted dark brown hair to look completely natural? What tones should I use?

Yes you just have to find a hair dye that will slightly tone down your hair. since you are a dark/medium brown go to a medium/ light brown.. Before you go and dye it, I would recommend going to the store and getting either Suave or John Mitchel shampoo and conditioner for Ladies with DARK BROWN hair!! I used it, and after laying in the sun on sunday my hair looks totally naturally high lighted! It's awesome. Plus I didn't damage it at all. AND its waaaay cheaper!

my hair is naturally dark and my highlights are all produced naturally also by the sun, and they are kind of a golden red color. but really you could do any subtle colors for it to look natural. or try the sun in spary at the store that stuff works too.

matt blond will look so Good on dark brown hair! but if ur 15 it may show u biger!maybe u better highlight with lighter brown!

If you want to do it yourself I wouldn't recommend going much lighter then a caramel color(orangy brown), if you want it lighter, closer to blonde or something I would go to a salon. It would be much easier for a stylist to match your tomes when changing it that drastically.

you should consult a professional, but for your hair maybe go with some lighter browns and/or dark blonds.
