first sand the area down and use a primer product called Kilz. It keeps things, even mold, from bleeding through the paint.

Children's fruit flavored anbesol dissolves permanent Sharpie marker. I don't know how it works.

Also I use Kilz primer to cover most everything, but I haven't tried marker.

Kilz will definately do it. The spray is fast and easy, just hit with a quick brush swipe to keep it smooth then wait til it dries. No Prob.

Remove the marker with acetone or nail polish remover. It will always bleed through if you don't use primer.
