It's about time you learn to cook a REAL meal. Very easy! You can make sandwiches, tacos, or just reheat for left overs the next couple of nights. Serve with bag salad/bread, butter.

Pot Roast
preheat oven 325 degrees.
Get a 3 lb. shoulder or chuck roast (it's cheap)
Season with garlic salt/pepper. Dredge in flour.
Heat 3 tablespoons oil in skillet, browning meat (medium heat) on all sides to seal in juices.
Place in pan (whatcha got).
Fill pan with water just under 1/2 way up roast.
Add 2 or 3 beef bouillon cubes or beef broth instead of water.
Cover with foil and cook 1 1/2 hrs.
Add clean veggies:
2 or 3 quartered potatoes (not peeled)
1 quartered onion
2 celery (3 inch pieces)
Small bag carrots (cut ends off) whole.
Put carrots on bottom under juice, then the rest (carrots take longest to cook) sticking down in juice as best you can. Get juice all over veggies that stick out. Cover back with foil.
Cook another 1 1/2 hours.
There ya go! If this is too hard you don't even need to brown the meat first. Just throw it in the pan and season. Follow instructions.

Speedy Chicken and Cheese Enchiladas:

Rotisserie chicken and prechopped vegetables make this a quick casserole.

Cooking spray
1 cup prechopped white onion
1 cup prechopped bell pepper
1 (10-ounce) can enchilada sauce (such as Old El Paso)
2 cups chopped skinless, boneless rotisserie chicken breast (about 8 ounces)
1 cup (4 ounces) preshredded, reduced-fat Mexican blend cheese, divided
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
8 (6-inch) corn tortillas
1/4 cup fat-free sour cream
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

Preheat broiler.

Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Coat pan with cooking spray. Add onion and pepper; sauté 2 minutes or until crisp-tender. Add enchilada sauce; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes.

Combine chicken, 3/4 cup of cheese, and cumin, tossing well.

Wrap tortillas in paper towels; microwave at high 30 seconds or until warm. Spoon 1/4 cup chicken mixture in center of each tortilla; roll up. Place tortillas, seam sides down, in an 11 x 7-inch baking dish coated with cooking spray. Pour sauce mixture over enchiladas; broil 3 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup cheese evenly over enchiladas, and broil for 1 minute or until cheese melts. Serve with sour cream and cilantro.

Yield: 4 servings (serving size: 2 enchiladas, 1 tablespoon sour cream, and 1 tablespoon cilantro)

One pan. Real easy.
Get a few boneless chicken breasts and cube them up. Saute them in a frying pan in butter and/or olive oil til the chicken is browned good. Dump in a box of rice-a-roni, the seasoning packet and the required amount of water, stir a little, cover and simmer til the rice absorbs all the water.
Easy peesy chicken and rice. U can even add a package of frozen veggies and everything will cook at once.

Watch the Food Network every chance you get...you'll figure out how to cook before long. You could also look at taking a cooking class at a local college, night school or community center.

Otherwise, get a Stauffer's frozen Lasagne and some garlic bread...

My dad can't cook. He cooks this, and I am 25 and LOVE it.

COWBOY DINNER

cook 1 lb hamburger until done. drain. add a can of beans- my dad likes Van De Camp's the best but I like Bush Beans. Heat until hot and you are done!

I serve this for my boyfriend with a side of macaroni and cheese from the box- the kind with the pouch. And he loves it!

Kudos to you for at least trying, alot of women wouldn't even do that.

Get yourself a small George Foreman grill. I have a family of four and I find the smallest one works and it was only $13.00. Then buy boneless chicken breasts or sirloin steaks. Salt, pepper and put garlic powder LIGHTLY on them. Plug in grill and wait for 10 minutes until super hot. Put in the meat and cook for 5 minutes and turn them over and cook 5 more minutes: cut in with a small knife and make sure it's cooked through. You can serve this with a baked potato made in the microwave: wash, stab with a fork and microwave about 8 minutes for each potato or until soft. Good luck!!! Men usually love meat and potatoes!

Reynolds Oven Bags are amazing things and can make cooking so easy for you. They are probably the least known and best tools to help a person who knows little or nothing about cooking.
They are fail proof.
