I have a question regarding soda and I just want to know about it.
If I drink one can of soda every weekend would I gain weight?

One can of soda a week won't do anything, so long as you are active and exercise regularly.

I have been drinking a can of coke every day for the past 15 years. (I cannot stand coffee) I have only gained about 7 lbs, and I would think that it because I have had 2 kids and I'm not very active. Imagine the weight loss if I quit drinking soda and started exercising.

But anyway, one can a week will probably not hurt too much.

One can is better than the people who drink one can a day. I cut out soda and juice for a year in order to lose weight. If you are just trying to maintain or are not overweight I'd say 1 a week is ok... but still soda isnt healthy.

Well, I read that if 3 cans of soda per week, for a whole year, you could gain an average of about 16 pounds. An average pop can {6 oz } has 10 tablespoons of sugar.

No, actually, my friend used to drink like, 8 soda's a day. After eventally cutting down to about 3/day, he lost weight!!! One soda will not hurt you, but it will probably make you crave more!!!! So watch out. Drinking one soda a week is like eating one candy bar/week. It won't make you gain, but it won't help!!

Not from the soda...your possible weight gain would be more of a result of what you ate, how much you ate, and the amount and level of exercise you did or didn't do during the rest of the week

Nah.. If you drink soda everyday, then maybe. If you are real worried about it, drink diet. I finally made the switch and after a few months, I can't tell much of a difference. Faygo's diets taste just like the regular kind!

Of course not.
If you drink a lot of cans like 5 cans a day everyday, then yes, that excess sugar and empty calories would put on the pounds. A can isn't bad at all.

I received weight when I drank sweet stuff like warm rattling or Schnapps. Now I drink gin and weightloss application tonic (gin= 60 energy, weightloss application tonic = 0) and decrease myself to three per nighttime. I actual have lost 4 pounds this week.

That's what, 200 calories? I don't see how an extra 200 calories a week can cause weight gain. Now, if it was one every -day-, that might be different, depending on your activity level.
