I m a muslim and m shocked by the postings made by ppl against not only Islam, but also christianity, judaism and even atheism. I believe this is immoral as it tries to devalue the particular person's faith.
I believe in peace. I think in the afterlife, everyone good in their deeds shall be allowed entry to man's destiny - heaven. Well I include all believers of God along with atheists. Peace be upon u all nice ppl! God is kind and let his mercy allow all good in their deeds to be blessed.
Till then let us all leave in harmony with our fellow human on this beautful earth. Brothers and sisters, let us all agree on this honest proposal, doesnt matter what u r or what u want 2 be.
I m a devoted muslim and to some who might think i dont know about my reigion, i say i have studied it and verified. I have alsi studied about other religions(especially Judaism and Christianity) and learnt to respect them as believers in the same God but with different perspective.Thank u and god bless u all!

Part of the problem is that "representatives" from all the religions make the rest of us look bad.

Muslims can be dismissed as Sunnis and Shi'tes blow each other up. Christians can get discarded for their arrogance in hoping elected officials are killed. Catholics take it on the chin when drunken actors spout off epithets.

Personally, I have my faith, you have yours. One is not "better" than the other. There are many roads to God.

Oh, and I haven't forgotten my agnostic and atheist friends as well. Faith is a tricky thing. I leave it up to you to find whatever you need

i am a religious jew.

first off, the problem stems from many people who are right or left wing extremists who insist that if it's not their way, it's the highway.

the problem is that when the mainstream muslims dont stand up and denounce the actions of the extremists, everyone gets the wrong idea about the mainstream. my personal opinion of muslims is irrelivent, but that is the main cause.

however, to be realistic, peace among the nations will never happen as long as all of these terrorist attacks occur. u must realize this and everyone must realize this as well. a prerequisit for speaking about peace is ppl acting with peace. that it is the first step.

so it's very nice to ask why ppl cant have respect for each when u should already know that the answer is violence and terrorism.

When was the last time you saw a posted remark by a Christian attacking non believers or believers of other faiths. I think not. Yet Christians are under constant attack. We have many insults by many people who seem to get a charge off of casting mean remarks at us. I look at it this way. Only a person can decide what they believe while others choose not to believe. My choice cannot be yours and yours cannot be mine. We will all find out what the truth is when we are dead.

I agree with you. I ask myself..."Who is benefiting from this chaos; real or perceived?" People of different faiths get along in harmony and respect everyday; but some would like the masses to believe differently. I think this divide is perpetuated by politics to suit their own end.

Human nature is carnal and fleshly everyone wants to be right, some want to gain power by aggressively displaying what they believe in.We are all created to love one another, but the unfortunate thing is humans are not ready for peace, because peace comes only from surrendering power and letting God handle the world.

I agree with you.

This section of Answers is for Religion & Spirituality. Not bashing and ridicule. You can ask your questions here, even if your a Athiest or a Satanist, and get them answered; but I think all the meanness and hatred should be left to another catagory.

I agree but good deeds alone with not be allow entrance into Heaven and atheists/agnostics/some believers will not enter Heaven if they continue to reject God.

Because most religions only believe in peace under certain conditions - usually the destruction of other religions.

i like your idea of peace. there is too much degrading talk on here. we should be reasoning like adults and respecting eachother.. sharing information and perspectives and possibilities. truth will withstand all scrutiny in the end. we should love eachother no matter what... and you know why?? because we all come from the same place..wherever that is. therefore we have the same creator and have the same type of souls.

Islam: Not one of you truly believes until you wish for others what you wish for yourself.
Taoism: Regard your neighbor's gain as your own gain and your neighbor's loss as your own loss.
Christianity: In everything, do to others as you would have them to do to you.
Shinto: Do not do to others what you do not want done to yourself.
Buddhism: Treat not others in ways that you yourself would find hurtful.
Hinduism: This is the sum of duty: Do not do to others what would cause pain if done to you.
Judaism: What is hateful to you, do not to your neighbor.
Paganism: And it harm none, do what you will.

Every religion teaches respect; just not everyone pays attention.
