i live with my parents in a flat on the first floor. i like the guy that lives in the next entrance of our house. he's never seen me and doesn't know. whole my family knows his family, but nobody knows his name, and my family doesn't talk much to his parents. i've noticed him because he keeps leaving his car in front of my window. should i do anything? in russia it's not often when girls come up first. what do you think should be done not only by me, but also maybe by somebody else. well, give an advice. And what should i do or say so that he likes me? P.S. he's 20, i'm 18.the point is that it's russia, it's not usual here for girls to make the first move. and also, how should a girl behave in the conversation with a man? P.P.S. i'm perhaps too shy to make the fist move, and bumpin inot him won't really work, coz there's too much space around.

when you know he's outside, go out carrying a bunch of books or anything so that your arms are full and "accidentally" drop them....he will come over to help you and you can start a conversation from there. If he doesn't come over to help you, he's not someone you should go after anyways! Good luck! :)

The first move can be a simple "hello, my name is (insert name here). We are neighbors. I live just over there. What's your name?"

Chances are he'll stop and have a silly conversation with you about school, college his plans for the winter, whatever. And you can be cheerful and smiling and tell him it was a real pleasure to meet him. You can also say something about how it's great to have such wonderful neighbors.

Then when you see each other you will say hello to one another, and if an opportunity comes up, you can invite him to something or wait for him to invite you if he isn't too shy. As long as you are always friendly and outgoing when he's around, he will come to like you.

As for how to behave in a conversation, smiling is always good. If you are walking beside him as you talk, it's cute if you bump into his side every once in a while. It prevents him from forgetting you are there :)

Best of luck with the boy :)

I would say that you should see if he gets online at all. Find him online and start a conversation that way. When you start talking, you can see if he likes you without the turn down factor staring you in the face. If and when you two turn out to like each other. It can just be an act of fate that the two of you met. Try it and let us know what happens.

I think that leaving a note is a great idea. You will be able to show your interest without having to seem too forward. Since you are shy, leaving a note may be the best way to go.

If you do not want to approach him directly, try getting his attention in other ways, say making yourself stick out among everyone else. Perhaps time it so you are both leaving the house at the same time, maybe he will offer a ride.

Bump into him accidentally (on purpose).
Check the times he leaves and comes, then be sure you are downstairs, and if necessary physically bump into him.
Be sure you wear something like a blouse with the top button undone so he can see you.
Look him deeply into his eyes and apologize for your clumsiness.
If he has any interest, he'll follow it up, if not at least you'll know to forget about him.

How about going up to him and saying hi and tell him your name and that you live next door..that could get the ball rolling...seem really interested in him and maybe things will progress..there's nothing wrong with going up to someone and saying hi first...

your of legal age and your in america. If your a pretty girl guys will be intimidated by you and you'll have to be the one to break the ice. Talk to him about his car. In a nice, flattering way.

Same thing as when you asked 26 min ago.

Whats the worst that could happen if you ask him? "No"?

Then you can move on with your life and not waste anymore time.

Go tell him how you feel.

You say that he parks his car in front of your window? why dont you start to use that window more often...take some air, watch the sky, wait for the guy to notice you and say hi...get it?
