In the film, all criminals are deported to New York City, which is now a huge penal colony. They're simply dumped there to get on with it and sealed off from the rest of society.

I'm convinced that this would work. Obviously we'd choose a different location -we'd probably need a small country. The great thing is that the more criminals you remove from society, the fewer there are to breed. Eventually you wouldn't have any more crime. We could live in a Eutopian society free from these scumbags.

I'd play the Kurt Russell character, obviously...

We tried that - it's called Australia. They say things like G'day mate, no worries and play with crocodiles. People are naming their kids Kylie and drinking XXXX and if you're posh Jacob's Creek. Teenagers watch Home and Away and think - why the bloody hell did we send them to a big island where it has lots of beaches and it's hot most of the time. We get stuck on a small island - bloody freezing, beaches that are all pebbles and no surfing hardly. An average of 3 barbecues a year, loads of exams and they just have their HSC to worry about. People used to emigrate to Australia for £10 and the rest of the world was coming here - some rumour about it being the land of milk and honey. Yes, lots of cows and a great place to get stung.

It has been tried. Several countries have used similar methods. One was Devil's Island. Another was Austraila.
Unfortunately none of them eleminated crime from those societies. It only gave the criminals not caught more room to work in.

Why New York?

Australia and Georgia were founded as criminal asylums.

There is no such thing as Utopia - unless you read the Protocols of Zion.

Baghdad would be a perfect location. We already have the combat troops there to keep them in, all of 'them'.

i'm appalled on the anger shown to the asker. it sort of feels that Rama's place is undefendable. There are 1000's of issues in Hinduism that are undefendable. It impacts the society very lots. It provides a impolite mentality to the top castes. properly then, turning directly to muslim fundamentalism, guy, it is yet yet another mayhem and crimes are being committed daily. thinking approximately Christ, he grow to be meant to be the king of Jews and why the non Jews might worship him devoid of any self recognize is previous me. I propose that individuals instruct their infants to take each and each faith in simple terms as a tale and tell them evil is evil. specific, my answer is Rama grow to be evil.
