because, my friend and i were playing the ouija board and everything was okay at first and then the spirit kept spelling his name, 'Noah' over and over again, we dont know anyone of this name either and when we didnt ask a question he'd go straight to the N, is this spirit evil and is he still with us? We said goodbye but my friends dog is acting weird and barking and growling at absolutely nothing, and dogs can see ghosts. I know that neither my friend or i were pushing the planchette..so please what is your opinion on this?

Some peple will not be serious aboout this, but I will be totally serious with you...Ouija boards can open you up to what is unseen out there. Normally such things can't mess with you, but by using Ouija, you have invited in whatever was around. There is no law for this, and it is not something you can control, so merely saying goodbye is a total joke! They don't have to follow rules, and you do not control them. Now that you have opened the door and you can't shut it because you haven't a clue, you need to do something, because you have no idea what it is you have, or what it will do. It may leave on its own, but don't count on it. It will watch you 24/7 and be silent unless it doesn't want to be. It can hide from your dog sometimes as well. It may remain silent and undetected for quite a while, and then,...well, you get the idea.
WHAT TO DO? You need to have your house blessed top to bottom, each room, and not just any blessing, but one with consecrated water, Holy Water. You need to contact a priest to do this, no some slicked up prtestant preacher, but an honest to God Catholic Priest.
It is amazing, but the dirty little secret of most protestant religions is that when demons are involved, THEY call on the services of a Catholic Priest as well. Revealing, isn't it.
Then, get rid of that board, because now you realize that it is not just some game. Best if you can burn it as soon as possible.

Ok, lets assume you talked ot an evil spirit and your dog is seeing it. Has it hurt you? No... Can it hurt you.... No.When you play with the Ouija board you talk to spirits or whatever. They can not hurt you though. I play with the Ouija board with my 5 year old nephiew and nothing bad has ever happened. you are safe. I have seen spirits before and yeah it scared me, but they CAN NOT hurt you. Don't worry about this ok? If you are scared, go ahead and take the planchette and wipe off the board with the planchette from one corner to the other while saying goodbye to the spirit. I do this after talking to each spirit, it tells them goodbye by erasing them from the board. Try it.I mean it might just be some dumb ritual i use to think i got rid of the spirit, but it works! and when you are done wiht the board put it awat with the eye facing down.

The ouija board allows you to open the gates to the spirit world. Sounds like you made contact with an energy from the spiritual and now it is in your physical world. Keep in mind that there are good and bad spirits. Good spirits are generally benign and will not disturb you, however if you get a bad one, you will certainly know. Are you seeing figures at night at the foot of your bed? Are objects in the room moving on their own? If your dog is acting defensively, then you should be cautious. Have you used the ouija board to ask the spirit why he is here? Consult with a priest on what action to take if you are being troubled.

Dangerous things, ouija boards. You never know what you're gonna get. Good luck with what you let loose. I hope you both will be safer in the future. I don't understand what it is that makes them so powerful and often scarey. But, maybe someone else here will. Good luck.

It sounds like you did not properly seal your ritual. This left it open for the spirit to leave and walk about. It is a common mistake made by people who do not know the rules to ouija boards. Ouija boards are a tool of necromancy and should not be toyed with. It is rather likely the spirit remains.

Oh yes and your dog is possessed too because he is barking and growling. Its all in your head honestly! And you don't know that your friend was pushing it...

YES ! Whenever someone dabbles into the Occult they invite demon spirits to attach themselves to them. Those spirits feel they now own that person, and follow them.
The only way to be free is to:
1) Give your life to Jesus Christ.
2) Renounce the earlier practice as sin.
3) In Jesus Name command the evil spirit to go
and not return.
4) If you are not in a Bible Believing Full Gospel
Church, find one, because I believe from my
experience that you will need help.

The Ouija board can open doors to many types of spirits and in my opinion none of them are positive in nature. These spirits can attach themselves to you and cause problems in your life you may not be aware of, or be very obvious (such as your dog issue).
My opinion is that if you believe there is an evil spirit involved you should get together with your friend and rebuke the spirit to leave. Jesus holds ultimate power over the spirit world whether you believe in him or not and evil spirits recoil when hearing his name.
Here away of rebuking I have personally seen work:
"I rebuke any spirit of (fill in the blank,ie. darkness, negativity, sin, etc.) in the name of Jesus and in his name I command you to leave. I also speak unto any house or stronghold in my life that enables this spirit to indwell me. In Jesus name leave and never return."
I know this sounds hokey but again, I have personally seen healing through this prayer.
