A lot of Asian dishes are eaten family-style, meaning multiple dishes that everyone can sample (think buffet, but at a table). Chicken/Shrimp fried rice is always super tasty and/or some Beef and Broccoli. Also, lettuce wraps are really popular and easy to make. It's just whole leaves of iceberg lettuce and people dish some ground beef w/your own spices into the leafy shell and eat it. Yummy yummy. Good luck!

I would look on the food network website for recipes from Giada DiLaurentis. She is not exclusively vegetarian but makes a lot of her dishes without meat and they are delicious. I like to cook vegetarian at least 3 times a week. Last night I did a really good dish- it was part BBQ and part pasta. Grilled yellow squash, zucchini, red peppers and onions on the BBQ. Once cooked, drizzled with a little truffle oil and then added about 1/2 lb of cooked penne (used Barilla plus for more protein). Tossed in a little more olive oil, some fresh chopped garlic, parsley and whole basil leaves. Finally another dash of olive oil, balsamic vinegar and a little dijon mustard, salt and pepper to taste. It was great- never missed the meat. Oh yeah top with some good shredded parmesan.

Your main dish sounds good and so do your appetizers. When I entertain I like to mix cuisines....just because your appetizers are Asian it doesn't mean that your main dish has too be as well. Go for it.

Sounds fine, but you could also consider a teriyaki-marinated pork loin, grilled, instead of the hens. Wild rice AND potatoes seems like too much starch - salad instead of potatoes?

CHICKEN MARSALA - In a frying pan, butter (melted) sliced mushrooms (Lots). cook until mushrooms start to soften. In a second frying pan cook Chicken (boneless, cut into pieces or strips and coated with flour) in butter, until edges on all sides start to brown. In first frying pan, add finely diced garlic and a generous amount of Marsala wine to mushrooms and heat vigorously for about two minutes, add chicken from second frying pan and cook until sauce thickens (flour from chicken will thicken sauce). To finish, add a spritz more Marsala wine (important, to sharpen Marsala flavor) and serve. - ENJOY
