2 dogs are bed theives. I kick them out only to wake up with them sprawled out all over the bed, and I am crunched up in the fetal position, or they are sleeping on top of my legs because there is no room. I kick them out and they keep comming back when I sleep. I kicked them off 6 times last night. any advice besides crating or kicking them out of the room?

make them ask permission before getting up on the bed.
If you don't say that it's ok, and they jump off, immediately say no and tell them to get off. If they jump up in the middle of the night, as soon as you wake up, get them off the bed and say no. Show them where they can sleep. You should get them nice comfy doggie beds.

You need to show them that the bed is yours, not theirs. My mom did this with her dog and it worked.

You'd have to sacrifice a few nights of good sleep, but if you're desperate sleep lightly so you wake up when they jump on the bed. Immediately kick them off, make sure they know that they've done wrong. Maybe squirt them with a water bottle if that would be a deterrent.

Then, during the day, don't let them up on the bed. Make sure they're staying off. If you work, keep your door closed.

You need to re-train them so they know that the bed is a big no-no at ALL TIMES. It's not fun, you have to be totally consistent or it won't work.

Good luck.

Well, I would suggest getting them a doggy bed. Or maybe keep them out of the room. but you don't want that. So, well, get them a doggy bed, then let them know they are not welcomed on your bed by telling them 'No' firmly and then moved them off the bed. Or maybe, spank them lightly on the snout/muzzle when ever they do it. Squirting with water helps if they don't like water...

Takes time and patience...Good luck!

persistence pays off....you'll just have to keep putting them on the floor until they learn. I can see a few sleepless nights in your future.
