yes they can, dogs have emotions just as we do, it can cause them to stop eating. She be having a dead birth, I would check with the vet hun, I would hate to see that beautiful dog pass away from this. Wish you luck

Dogs can get depressed, maybe because they don't get enough attention, or because they need to social with other animals as well.
Some dogs that don't get attention or social will act hyper and out of control, while some other dogs get depressed. It's probably best if you get a companion for your cocker spaniel, give more affection to her. And if all eles fails, take her to a vet.

She may be having a false pregnancy.

Yeah dogs can get depressed. They feel like we do. You could call a vet and see what they think.

Yes they can go through drepression game and point, I knew a dog that died after her master died. The dog wouldn't eat or do anything. I believed it missed her master.

We had two dogs and when one died, the second one was mopey and upset for weeks. I think it's very possible for animals to feel emotional too.

She's leaking milk? Are you sure that she's not pregnant? I think that maybe you need to call your vet.

apparently they can; I knew a lady who took her dog to a psychologist who diagnosed depression. Seemed bizarre to me, but hey.....what do I know?
