When one of the apostles is asked 3 times if he loves Jesus, and the apostle replies with positive, why does Jesus say to him "feed My sheep". now, I know why Jesus asked him 3 times this question ( he, the apostle, did not have the love of God) but what did He meant by feed my sheep ? Go spread the gospel (if indeed you love Me) ?

The Apostle was Peter that Jesus asked. It is a common belief that Jesus asked him 3 times because he denied him 3 times and this is possible but now to the Answer.

Feed my sheep. Jesus is the good shepard and he uses the term sheep so that Peter would view us as sheep and himself as one of the new shepards.

We are Gods sheep. We feed on the word of God and we drink the living water of Christ Jesus and we get our food and water via the Holy Spirit. To Feed us you need to provide the food. (Word of God) to us. If we eat then we get healthy. When we are healthy we will want to breed so that we can have more sheep.

Thats my Answer Baaaaaa aa a a by!

God Bless

Peter did have the love of God.Three.... in the Bible is for emphasis, so Jesus was emphasizing the importance of feeding His sheep.

Jesus calls his disciples slaves. And their job is to feed his sheep. The sheep are the ones already in his fold who need regular spiritual food to be healthy Christians.

As anointed Christians, we have a measure of knowledge and wisdom, in order to impart understanding to the many.

The 7 churches in Revelation have some problems, and are teaching a few false ideas, and other things going on they need to repent of, and as slaves, will be judged by individual deeds.

Christians also have the commission to teach the nations about him, anyone who wants to, can come and drink life's water free.

Luke 12:42 And the Lord said, "Who really is the faithful steward/slave, the discreet one, whom his master will appoint over his body of attendants to keep giving them their measure of FOOD supplies at the proper time? 43) Happy is that *slave,* if his master on arriving finds him doing so. 44) I tell you truthfully, He will appoint him over all his belongings.

Yes, we can prove we love God if we obey him.

1John 5:3 For this is what the love of God means, that we observe his commandments, and yet his commandments are not burdensome, 4) because everything that has been born from God conquers the world. And this is the conquest that has conquered the world, our faith.

We can view all the Christian denominations as the 10 slaves in Luke 19:11-27. The ones who have caused increase for the Lord will have the reward of authority over *10 Cities* or *5 cities.* The one who hides the *money* or *knowledge*, will have his portion removed from him, proving themselves enemies, and are slaughtered before Jesus. This is how he will remove the unrepentant Lampstands; Revelation 2 and 3.

You have already answered ! Yes, as Christians we are to spread the Gospel in a loving kind manner at a level that Non-Christians can understand. As a spiritual infant you are fed milk, as you mature bread & then finally meat. Though we may not agree with or accept anothers lifestyle or decisions we are commanded to love them & pray for their salvation but, always remember that the final decision is God's not ours.

The sheep are those who have accepted Christ and need someone to help them understand the Bible.
Peter (and the other apostles) were told to not only evangelize, but to disciple them as well.

He meant that you should teach the Word of God to all those lost little sheep who have never heard it.

You answered your own question. It did indeed mean for us to tend to His "sheep" or followers through spiritual and physical means.

If you truely love Jesus you will tell others about Him..and you will also help those that are called by His name..in order for our spirits to grow, we have to be fed..just like the physical body..if you deny your body food you will continually get weak and eventually die...if you deny your spiritual walk with the Lord..you will get weaker and weaker and wont be able to stand..and eventually that leads to spiritual death.
