Your proposition would be true, if Christians believed that Jesus was a second god. But we don't believe that.
We believe God is too complex to even imagine.
However God had revealed Himself (or Herself) to us as a Holy Trinity, one God of three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
How this works has been completely revealed to us. But that's okay, a little mystery is a good thing.
Therefore with only one God there is no breaking of the first commandment.
With love in Christ.

No, because Jesus is God, the Son.
Isaiah 9:6
For to us a Child is born,
to us a Son is given,
and the government will be on His shoulders.
And He will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

There is one God in three persons: The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit. I think that these "identities" of God help us, as mere men and women, to understand the complexity of God.
I wonder what "other god" you would think Jesus Christ would represent. He proclaimed his existence to be for God, the one God, the same God of the Jews.

John 14:8-9, Philip asked Jesus as an occasion them the father, and Jesus spoke lower back, "Have I been so long term with you, and yet hast thou no longer known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the father?" Colossians a million:15, speaking of the Son, "who's equivalent to the INVISIBLE God". John 4:24, "God is a Spirit".

No! Because God in the Bible is Elohim, which means God Plural. When the Bible says that God is one, it means that they are united. God and Jesus are one! When we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior, God gives us the Holy Ghost, God Himself. When the Holy Ghost enters our lives, He becomes one with us. But only those who allow themselves to surrender to God's leading of the Holy Spirit will become the Children of God.

The Jews use this as the 1st commandment (also in the Holy Scriptures)----------I am the Lord your G-d who has brought you out of the land of Egypt. The one you give is our second one.
I agree. I cannot understand the concept of ''son of G-d in Jesus'' or ''G-d in human form''. And, I was raised in a Christian home. G-d is G-d. G-d is one.

when you say Jesus is the son of God you do not break the 1st commandment. the first commandment states "I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me." there is only one real and true god. god is the god of everything so i believe he is saying that he is the one and only god. think of all the roman and greek gods togather or any other gods you know about and that is what makes up god.

Since that Commandment was spoken by Christ as the preexistence Logos I guess not.
Explore the nature of the Trinity and get back to us.
