even though I don't really like him, should I still go out with it if he asks me?

I don't think boys particularly like desperation (in fact, I'm convinced they can usually smell it miles away.)
Why are you so desperate for one? If you learn to be happy with yourself, and patient and confident, just about the time you think you don't need one, it'll probably materialize. *lol* It's ironic, but it happens.
Just be happy in your own skin, with your friends and family, and engage yourself in real and meaningful activities, other than dreaming and waiting for some boy. (Getting out there and making things happen, volunteering at school or at shelters etc., or other things also make you more visable to guys who might notice you for what a caring person you are, instead of that you have 2 x chromosomes. *lol*)
Don't push it! Enjoy your own life and self.
The time may not be so far away that you HAVE a boyfriend and recall how good you had it while you were on your own. Because the point is... when you're in a relationship, you still have just as many problems. You may STILL feel lonely. Or unappreciated or have low self esteem. Or bored. You have to already be complete, before you can be happy with some one else. :/ And being in relationships... well honey, they just bring their own issues. Being with someone or without, neither is better than the other, they're just different.

Don't date someone just because you're desperate. He'll be able to tell and take advantage of that. Enjoy being single and depending on yourself.

Ahhh, you must be in middle school...where its pretty much a requirement to be dating someone, anyone! Yeah go for it...you are gonna break up in 3 days, but who cares!!!
