Really, I am getting worried as if I ever say I do not believe in god I get like 10 thumbs down. I'm starting to get worried about peoples sanity here.

Good point the advisor. Does this make anything more valid though? Covince me with kind words not insults.

Wehwalt..there you go see. I'm not trying to insult you. The problem is you are too focussed on cussing people to read the question properly and think about it. Come forward with a valid point and challenge what I am saying by all means don't just piss me off though because it's not nice.

They shouldn't be judging you, and I criticize them vehemently for doing so. Many are poor examples and simply preach to others. If they were better examples, perhaps people would come around.

Let me let you in on a little secret.
Religious people need to always be convinced that they're right, no matter what, or else they feel like maybe they've just been wasting their time (which is true as far as I'm concerned).
They follow a "better to be wrong in a group than be right alone" mentality, which is probably why a lot of times they refer to themselves as a "flock"....baaaaaaa.......I mean, why else would they refer to themselves as 'lambs?'
look, if you had an idea, that you believed in with all your heart, but had no proof for, wouldn't you get aggressive too? They can't present facts, so all they can do is get angry and yell and scream and blind themselves with their little 'thumbs-down' and hope that you'll be intimidated enough to either shut up or join them.
But I wouldn't worry about them too much. Just be a good person with morals and respect others (no matter how delusional), and as long as they're not forcing anything down your throat, just ignore 'em.........unless they're using religion to influence their desicions regarding government. Then, for the love of God (irony), do all you can to stop them.

i know what u mean. my spiritual beliefs do not involve a god, and many people on this site feel the need to throw their god in ur face. Like ur opinion isn't valid if u don't believe in their god. People should be more tolerant of others opinions, its pretty sad when someone who is non christian has to tell christians to be more tolerant. And people are crazy every where not just religious people but i wouldn't worry too much about that. answer honestly, that 's the best that you can do . if people are only interested in getting foolish answers rather than honest one's then screw em.

I think that religion is scary. I mean all of the controlling things that they believe in. WOW!!! It is a personal choice to believe or not to believe. But I am a spiritual person, and I think that the religious people are scared because of all of the horror stories they hear from their church about this so called place "hell." Religions control by fear and people get scared. I mean really wouldn't you be scared if you were told at least once a week that you were going to go to hell all the time? I know I would....

"Convince me with words not insults" - a self-righteous and hypocritical stand from someone who says that others are what he is. When you don't do what outrages you please get back to us.
ADDENDUM:
"Religious people/site[a universal term]" = "scary [bad]" But it's not an insult, you say. Poorly evasive.
When you insult people and then attack them for dealing with you on your own terms you are a hypocrite.
That you try to obfuscate your obvious bile as well tops your hypocrisy with dishonesty. I'm starting to get worried not about your "sanity" but your basic rationality.

Intolerance, just intolerance. Don`t bother, let them be. If they are happy with their religion, good for them. And if you don`t believe in god, it`s OK too. Avoid the R & S section.
